Working across disciplines, she has developed a diverse career as a performer, teacher, choreographer, movement director, rehearsal director and costume maker.
Zowij is joining ŻfinMalta as Rehearsal Director for the majority of the company’s 2026/27 season projects, following a long-standing relationship with the company as a former company dancer, teacher and Associate Artist. Alongside her performance and rehearsal work, Zowij has developed an extensive practice in costume, working across Malta’s leading performing arts institutions including ŻfinMalta and Teatru Malta, as well as many other independent projects. Her recent costume work has also extended into film, with costumes she created for art films being exhibited as part of the Gwangju Biennale 2026.
Zowij is also the founder of Zowij.Makes, an independent sustainable fashion label through which she designs and makes one-off garments using vintage, reclaimed and pre-loved textiles.
Zowij trained at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, where she graduated with a BA in Ballet and Contemporary Dance.
